Forest School and Paediatric First Aid

ITC Level 3 Award in Forest School First Aid (RQF). This Ofqual regulated 16 hour, course is ideal for all those who are working with anyone aged 12 months to adult in the outdoors. The course is run by people who have been working and playing in the outdoors as both formal and informal educators for the last 30 years, with both children and adults and are experienced trainers.
The course at Horsenden Farm covers all ages of casualty and treating, and managing the casualty in an outdoor environment. The instructor is Maxine Lock from Peritia Training.
The course covers:
– Unresponsive casualty
– CPR and AED
– Choking
-Bleeds and shock
– Minor injuries
– Burns and scalds
– Medical conditions
– Limb injury
– Head injury
– Neck and spinal injury
– Heat and cold
– Poisoning including insect bites
