Horsenden Farm has two spaces available for hire.


The hayloft upstairs: seated capacity of 35 in theatre style, available equipment includes chairs, tables, flipchart and projector. The hayloft upstairs is available on weekends for one off bookings, and on weekdays (except Wednesdays till 2pm) for one off events and regular bookings.
The hayloft upstairs is accessed by a spiral staircase.
The hayloft upstairs hire rates are £25 per hour, £150 all day. Reduced rate for charities and similar organisations: £15 per hour, £90 all day. The minimum booking length is 2 hours. Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits are available at £2 per person.
NB: the hayloft upstairs is above the volunteer room and kitchen, and sound can travel. Please let us know when enquiring if you need to book a time when there aren’t any scheduled volunteering groups.


Woodpecker hollow: an outdoor seating area in the woodland next to the playground, capacity of 20. Woodpecker Hollow is available for one off and regular bookings on weekdays and weekends.
Woodpecker hollow hire rates are £40 per half day (4hrs), £80 per full day (8hrs).

Both spaces are available to hire from 8:30am till half an hour before the farm gates close. The farm closing times vary seasonally and can be found here.
There is free parking in the farm car park, and toilets are available on site. Catering is available on request, through the farm bakery.

Terms and conditions of space hire
For the purposes of this document ‘FoH’ refers to the charity ‘Friends of Horsenden’
Payment:
On confirmation of your booking an invoice will be issued for the agreed fee. We expect payment by bank transfer in advance of your event.
We reserve the right to deny access if payment has not been received.
Cancellation:
Cancellations must be made in writing to friends@horsenden.org. The following cancellation fees will apply:
- More than 14 days notice 0%
- 7-14 days notice 50%
- Less than 7 days notice 100%
If FoH has to cancel your booking for any reason a refund will be made in full.
Terms of use:
1. Right of Access FoH reserves for itself and its volunteers and agents the right of access to the Premises during the Hire.
Unless prior agreement has been made, public areas and toilets must remain accessible to the public and in good condition for their use.
2. Conclusion of the Hire
The Hirer shall, at the end of the Hire Period, leave the Premises in a clean and tidy condition, all equipment being returned to the correct place of storage. All rubbish is to be placed in the bins provided.
3. Ethos, attendance and Behaviour
The Hirer shall ensure that the number of persons using the Premises does not exceed that for which application was made. The Hirer shall be responsible for ensuring the preservation of good order for the full duration of the hire and until the Premises are vacated.
We ask that hirers respect the ethos of the Friends of Horsenden and bear in mind the environment and sustainability. We discourage the use of single use plastics, balloons etc
4. Fabric and Fittings
The fabric and fittings (including electrical installations) and contents of the Premises shall not be interfered with in any way.
5. Hirer’s Property
Furniture and apparatus required may be brought on to the Premises at the Hirer’s own risk. The Hirer shall not bring onto the Premises without the prior written consent of the FoH any article of an inflammable or explosive nature, nor any article producing an offensive smell, nor any other substance, apparatus or article of a dangerous nature.
6. Storage
Storage facilities cannot be provided. Permission to leave equipment on any part of the Premises must be obtained in writing from FoHl in advance and a complete list of equipment must be provided. Where the FoH has permitted a Hirer to leave equipment on the Premises they do so entirely at their own risk and the FoH will have no responsibility for any damage to, or theft of, the equipment.
7. Additional Charges
FoH reserves the right to invoice the Hirer for any charges:
a) Arising from excessive cleaning time incurred as the result of the Hirer failing to leave the Premises in a reasonable condition.
b) For the repair of the Premises or equipment damaged by the Hirer
c) The Hirer failing to vacate the Premises by the time stipulated in the booking form.
8. Hirer’s responsibility to attendees
Hirers shall make all necessary arrangements to reasonably ensure the health, safety and welfare of attendees at the Premises.
9. Fire Precautions
No naked flames without permission from FoH. There is a copy of the fire precautions on the back of the hayloft door, with which the hirer should familiarise themselves.
10. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on the Premises
11. Insurance
Hirers are responsible for their own insurance. FoH recommends but does not require hirers to have insurance, unless made aware of an insurance requirement at the time of booking.
12. Liability
FoH shall not be liable for any accident or injury, or damage to or theft of property, that may occur to, or be sustained by, persons using the Premises before, during or after the Hire Period, provided always that no provision of this paragraph shall be construed as limiting the liability of FoH for death or personal injury caused by negligence. In the event of any accident or injury, the Hirer must notify the FoH on the following working day. FoH shall not be liable to the Hirer, its officers, employees or agents for any direct or indirect loss, including, without limitation, any loss of business or profit however arising (including in negligence) in respect of the Hire (including where the Hire is cancelled or terminated).
13. Statutory Requirements
All statutory requirements, including those relating to Health and Safety and Public Entertainments and Performance Rights, must be fulfilled by the Hirer.
14. Public Entertainment
If admission is free and open to all, or if tickets are to be sold at the door or are to be offered to friends, neighbours or the public by way of advertisement, an entertainment licence may be required. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to obtain all necessary licences from the Local Authority (see https://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/201192/a_to_z_of_licences ).
15. Termination
Where Hirer breaches any of its obligations hereunder, the FoH may terminate the Hire of the Premises without notice and any paid Hire Charges will be forfeit and any Hire Charges due to the charity will immediately become payable in full.
